Sea Green Tonic
Here is an amazing recipe for you to try. I guarantee that you will simply love it. It is very tasty and good for you too!
This is a basic cleansing breakfast that's a form of nutritional insurance. Even though you may take vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, and even though you may eat plenty of live food, you still need a regular infusion of the whole-food nutrients this tonic contains. Use fresh orange or apple juice, depending on the season. And you can always add a pear, some berries, or a peach to your tonic along with the banana if you want more fruit.
The benefits of the cleansing tonic are: the fresh orange juice is rich in vitamin C, enzymes, and antioxidants. It detoxifies naturally. The fresh apple juice is rich in enzymes, malic acid, potassium, and the pectins that act as solvents in the body, softening and removing debris from the gallbladder and other organs. Bananas are high in potassium, enzymes, fiber, and natural sugars to fuel the brain. They add body to this tonic to help you feel satisfied for several hours.
The cold-pressed flax seed and sunflower oils are readily usable vegetarian sources of the essential fatty acids we need for myriad processes in our bodies, from healing and repair to regulating cholesterol levels in the bloodstream to strengthening the immune, respiratory, digestive, and neural systems. These fatty acids are relatively unavailable in this era of hydrogenation and in the average diet of highly processed food.
A super green-food powder can be a highly nutritious blend of nutrient-dense algaes, such as chlorella and spirulina, along with wheat grass, hydrilla, barley leaves, alfalfa, and clover. Such whole-food powders are rich in chlorophyll, which acts as liquid sunshine in the body, "shedding light" in the form of oxygen on the cells. The more oxygen within, the more health!
Lecithin is necessary in our bodies for the emulsification of fats, regulation of cholesterol, and the absorption of nutrients. Soy lecithin is an excellent daily supplement, since lecithin is removed through processing from most of the foods we eat.
Brewer's yeast is a rich natural source of B-vitamins and protein. Regular intake at up to one tablespoon a day is known to be good for skin problems. Work up to this amount of 2-3 weeks.
Vitamin C keeps you young! Instead of taking it throughout the day in capsule form, it's a nice switch to use the powder form in your tonics. The buffering makes powdered C easier on the stomach.
- 1 ½ cups fresh orange or apple juice
- 1 tablespoon super green-food powder(I buy Barleen's Greens)
- 1 banana
- 1 tablespoon soy lecithin
- 1 tablespoon cold-pressed flaxseed oil
- 1 heaping tablespoon Brewer's(Nutritional) yeast
- 1 teaspoon cold-pressed sunflower oil
- 1 teaspoon powdered buffered Ester C

Blend all the ingredients in a blender for approximately 1 minute. Drink slowly. This is a meal, not a beverage.
